Jake Richard Olson, age 31 of Minocqua, WI passed away on Monday, February 12th.
Memorial Service for Jake will be held on Saturday, February 17th at 2:00 PM at Nimsgern Funeral & Cremation Services in Woodruff, WI followed by a Celebration of Life visitation from 2:30 PM till 6:30 PM at Nimsgern Funeral & Cremation Fellowship Hall. (casual dress)
Jake, the son of Dwight and Val Olson, was born on May 4, 1992 in Woodruff, WI. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, significant other Nicole Hansen, children Grace, Dawson, and Hallie Olson, 5 dogs, grandparents Pat and Don Freudenwald, grandma Dorothy Riska, brother Robert (Sara) Olson, Kim and Rob Hansen and family, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Jake was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Duane Olson, Minocqua and Lyle Riska, Houston.
Jake was known for his upbeat personality and easy smile. He was always ready with a hug, greeting, or story. His children were his pride and joy. He was involved in all of their activities and encouraged them to pursue all their interests. He was passionate about anything outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling, snowmobiling, and camping. He belonged to the Minocqua Gun Club and was an avid Packer fan.
Jake was a stand out wrestler at Lakeland Union High School. After high school, he received a degree in welding from MATC. After welding for several years, Jake decided to help his dad run Olson Tree Service in Minocqua. He worked side by side with his dad for the past 10 years.
Jake was a very compassionate person and wanted his organs donated to try to help others. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to IncredibleBank (PO Box 1135 Minocqua, WI 54548) to Jake Olson's children's fund for their benefit.
