Jamal Tramane Simpson

Jamal Tramane Simpson,38, was born February 26, 1986, in Galveston, Texas to Tina Simpson. He was a graduate of the Ball High School Class of 2004. Jamal played varsity football as a wide receiver. He was a phenomenal player, blessed with many athletic skills and abilities. Jamal furthered his education at the Kansas State Junior College, College of the Mainland, and Butt Junior College in Chico, California, where he pursued his degree in Physical education. While in California, he spent two years working as a volunteer wildfire firefighter. Jamal was employed in the food industry before his passing. Jamal was a born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was the head of his life. He wasn't ashamed of his faith and would share the good news of the Gospel with anyone who would listen. He loved his one and only son Kenyan to life and devoted his life to showing him what the true meaning of a father was. Jamal enjoyed football and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
Jamal is preceded in death by his grandmother, Martha Ann Holloway Simpson. Jamal leaves behind to cherish his memories his mother; Tina Simpson; son, Kenyan Ramirez Simpson; sister, Patrina Baje Smith (Jonathan); brother, Nigel Simpson; grandfather, Robert A. Simpson; his better half, Amber Emery; uncles, Garrick Simpson (Jennifer), Terris Holloway, Menson Holloway, Fredrick Holloway, Shradrick Holloway, Tommy Holloway; aunts, Toni Holloway, Keysha Holloway, Rita Wade, Barbra Kelly, Joann Marsh, Janice Watson, Symanthia Ward, and host of cousins and friends who all loved him dearly.
