James Adams Obituary
James Christian “Chris” Adams, 61, of Lynchburg, VA, passed away, Saturday, January 18, 2025. He was the husband of the late Michelle Davis Adams.
Chris was born June 8, 1963, in Lynchburg, a son of the late James Earl Adams and Rosemarie Christian Adams. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his niece, Alyssa Adams.
He worked for Southern Air for many years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Chris is survived by his daughters, Brandi Floyd and Virginia Chase Denson; sister, Angela Luttrell and husband, Donnie; brother, John Adams and wife, Cathy; granddaughter, Carleigh Floyd; nephews, Robert Dale Adams, James “Peanut” Mitchell Luttrell, Donald “Buddy” Mack Luttrell, Jr., Carlan “CJ” Whitt; and his life-long fishing buddy and best friend, Matthew “Snowman” Burns.
The family will receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
