James Adams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Klein Funeral Home - Tomball on Jan. 6, 2026.
James David Adams, age 102, of Spring, passed away January 5th. He was born June 6th, 1923, in Kerens, Texas to the late Edward Lawrence Adams and Maggie (Johnston) Adams.

He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Adams (of 33 years); daughters, Cheryl Ann Albe Burke, Deborah White, Jennifer Case and Rebecca Fowler; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many friends, outliving most of them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Eunice Adams (of 46 years) and Son, Stephen Wayne Adams.

James (known as Jim to most) was a loving husband and father. Jim took early retirement from Houston Natural Gas Co. (Enron) at the age of 62. He was an avid RV'er, forming the Boomerang Camping Club, with upwards of 30 couples. Jim also loved bowling, he drove himself to the bowling allies to play on three separate leagues up until he was 97 years old. He was a self-taught artist and wood worker. Jim's family says that he was very patient, always had a smile on his face, and was always ready to pitch in and help anyone.
