Mr. Adkison was born April 22, 1944, to the late Henry "Jack" and Myrtle Durley Adkison. Mr. Adkison retired as an Engineer with CSX and was nick named "Sweet thang" amongst his coworkers.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Adkison of Fitzgerald; a son, Michael Adkison; two daughters: Sonya Adkison, and Karry Pollett; a step son: Michael Stevens; two brothers: Lewis Adkison and Wilbur Adkison; and a sister: Daphne Adkison Fountain.
