James Franklin Aguiar, a man of many talents and a heart of kindness, passed away suddenly at home on February 2, 2025. Born on January 30, 1961, in Birdsboro PA, James lived a life marked by devotion to his family, and a spirit of generosity that touched many people he met.
James, was a master electrician, plumber, carpenter, roofer, and an expert car and motorcycle technician. His hands could skillfully fix anything that was broken, and he took great pride in his ability to solve problems and help others. His work was not just a job; it was a way of connecting with his community and offering his talents wherever they were needed.
Beyond his professional expertise, James was a devoted and loving father. He instilled in his children, the values of kindness, education, intelligence, and diligence. His wife, Lisa Aguiar, stood by his side, sharing in his life's work and passions. Though his marriage to Guiqiu Zhao ended, their bond remained through the family they built together. James was a beloved father to children, Jamie, and Lee Aguiar, brother to Virginia, Catherine, John, Steve, George, and Joseph, uncle to many nieces, nephews, great nephews and a great niece. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Hildegarde (Schulz), infant daughter Sarah, and his brothers Anthony, Manuel Junior, and David, who left this world before him.
James's interests were as varied as his skills. He had a lifelong love for motorcycles and vintage cars, finding joy in nature and the outdoors, the freedom of the open road and the intricate beauty of classic engineering. Riding bicycles, tending to his garden, and helping his neighbors were just a few of the activities that filled James's days with purpose and pleasure. He was especially committed to assisting the elderly and military veterans in his community, showcasing his unwavering respect and gratitude for those who had given so much.
Those who knew James were familiar with his gift of gab, his amazing intelligence, and his kind heart. He never passed up an opportunity to strike up a conversation, share a laugh, or offer a helping hand. His love for his dogs and all animals spoke volumes about his compassionate nature. James's presence was a bright light in the lives of many, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the fortune to cross paths with him.
James's legacy is one of kindness and selflessness. He demonstrated through his actions how to live a life of service and joy. His spirit will continue to inspire and guide his family and friends, as they remember the man who was always there for them.
A memorial service to honor the life and memory of James Franklin Aguiar will be held in Reading, Pennsylvania, at a future date. It will be a time for those who cherished him to come together and celebrate a life that made a difference in the world, one kind deed at a time.
James's journey on this earth may have ended, but the stories of his love, his laughter, and his legacy will be shared for generations to come. Rest in peace, James; your memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those you've left behind.

I´m very late getting around to this, but feel it´s important to mention nevertheless. James was one of the, if not The most intelligent persons I´ve ever known. He helped me with the construction of my front porch. He gave me many pointers and worked as hard as I did with it (or harder), and expected nothing in return. That´s just my little story. He was a neighbor of ours. A neighbor to everyone in our community. And he helped so many others. Always pleasant, always helpful. He was a man I expected to outlive all of us. Shocking!
He was truly one of a kind, and will be missed by all!! Rest in peace, our friend
