James G. "Jimmy" Ahlborn Jr., age 61, of Babcock, WI, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, surrounded by his family at Wisconsin Rapids Health Services.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa, WI. Rev. Dennis Schwalenberg will officiate. Visitation will take place on Friday from 12:00pm until the time of service. Burial will follow at Babcock Cemetery.

Jimmy was born on October 27, 1963, in Milwaukee, WI, to James and Carole (Nelson) Ahlborn. He graduated from St. Francis High School in 1982 and then spent many years working at Wendy's.

Jimmy had a love for outdoors, enjoying hunting and tending to his gardens where he grew vegetables and flowers. He was a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers since childhood, and he also cheered on the Milwaukee Brewers and Bucks. Jimmy had a soft spot for animals, especially cats, and was known for his gentle kindness toward them. He was also passionate about supporting charities that helped children and veterans.

Jimmy is survived by his siblings, Vicki Ahlborn, Wanda (Jeff) Corwin, Lori (Duwayne) Miramontes, David Ahlborn, and John Ahlborn; nieces and nephew, Erika (Brandon Watson) Melcher, Chad Miramontes, and Amanda (Ryan) Schnurer; several great nieces and nephews; and aunts, uncles, and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jimmy's name to the South Wood County Humane Society.

The family would like to thank Jan Pesek for the kindness and compassionate care given to Jimmy, as well as the staff of Aspirus Hospice Care and Wisconsin Rapids Health Services.
