Graveside services celebrating the life of Mr. James Thomas "Tom" Alsobrooks will begin at11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026 at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery (5513 Zero Road, Meridian, MS 39301), with Bro. Jim Hutchison officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the services. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Alsobrooks, age 86, of Meridian passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026 at his residence.

Tom was born on November 10, 1939 in Houston County, Tennessee to the late James Isham and Retha Hudson Alsobrooks. In 1958, he enlisted in the United States Army, faithfully serving his country in France until he was honorably discharged in 1963. He traveled the southeast United States working on pipelines bringing him to Meridian where he would settle. Before retirement, he worked for the City of Meridian at the Waste Water Treatment Plant for thirty years. Tom was a Christian by faith and member of Mt. Horeb Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a member of the Hamasa Shriners.

Survivors include his two daughters, Penny Randall (David) and Gayle Alsobrooks; one son, James Alsobrooks (Wendie); six grandchildren, Olivia Randall Williams (Airrey), David Randall, Conner Alsobrooks, Asher Alsobrooks, Dilan Williams, and Colby Williams; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Billy Alsobrooks and Lorene Moss.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Mt. Horeb Baptist Church (5513 Zero Road, Meridian, MS 39301).
