James Autry Obituary
Mr. Autry is survived by his only daughter Luanne (Rusty) Bailey of Germantown, TN; two granddaughters Lauren (Jim) Benton, and Rachel (David) Smith; and three great grandchildren Caleb James Benton, Reagan Grace Smith, and Barrett David Smith.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Laverne.
He was a Korean War Veteran and served in the US Air Force. Upon honorable discharge from the Air Force, he began a long career in the car business with Regal Oldsmobile.
He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer and in his later years he enjoyed spending time with his Granddaughters and Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Forest Hill East (2440 Whitten Road Memphis, TN 38133) from 1:00pm until the service at 2:00pm.
