James Baber Obituary

Mr. James LeGrande "Goon" Baber, age 68 of Baber St., Union, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023 at his home.
Mr. Baber was born in Union, February 19, 1955, a son of the late James R. "Bob" Baber and Geraldine Hawkins Baber. He was a graduate of Union High School and was a retired truck driver. Mr. Baber loved his family and was a great brother, father and grandfather.
Surviving are two daughters, Melissa B. Womick of Spartanburg and Ashley B. Weber and husband Mark of Greenville; a sister, Donna Kay Youngblood and friend, James Harvey of Union; three grandchildren, Daniel, Laura and William Weber and his grand-dogs, Sammy and Zoey. Mr. Barber is also survived by a niece, Christi Tweed and husband Jeff and great-nephew, Garrett Tweed. He was predeceased by a great-niece, Presley Tweed.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 27, 2023 at Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the services.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
The family will be at their respective homes.
