Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wilson Mortuary - Salem on Jan. 1, 2026.
James Franklin Ball, born May 30, 1952, in Van Buren, Missouri, passed away December 31, 2025, in Bunker, Missouri, at the age of seventy-three years.

James was the son of Lindul "L.G." Gene and Maudeline "Mae" (Yearwood) Ball. He grew up in Gladden, graduating from Salem High School in 1970. He was a man of faith. In 1990, he was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church, Blue Springs, Missouri.

James was a hard worker and jack of all trades. Throughout his working career he worked at a pesticide company in St. Louis, drove a tow truck, and worked as a mechanic and welder. He also worked at the sawmill for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.

James was united in marriage to his sweetheart, Anna Beyer, April 6, 2002. This union blended two families and together they shared nine children. James adored his family and loved teaching his grandchildren skills to set them up for success in life. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were his world. He also had a deep love for his fur baby, Ozie, who was his emotional support dog.

James is survived by his wife: Anna Ball; bonus mom: Kathy Ball; mother-in-law: Maxine Grauf; children: Christina Land and fiancé John, Nathaniel Beyer and wife Michelle, Karroll Beyer and fiancé Laura, Suezanna Wright and husband Aason, Julieana Lowe, Scott Ball, David Ball, Jay Gibbs, and Janice Griffith; siblings: Thelma Livesay and husband Terry, Clinton Ball and wife Brenda, George Ball and wife Shellia, Jarred Strange and wife Crystal, Tracy Strange, Sarah Montoya and husband Scott, Justin Burns and wife Carolyn, and Jocelyn Hodges and husband Clark; grandchildren: Christopher, Kendrick, Garrick, Adrian, Sidney, Hope, Elaina, Alice, Nora, Alexandra, Benjamin, and Carson; great-grandchildren: Raylee, Bryson, Braxton, and several other great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Preceding him in death were his previous wife: Linda Ball; mother: Maudeline (Yearwood) Ball; father: Lindul Gene Ball Sr.; and brother: Lindul Ball Jr.

James will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him most.
