Imogene B. Horn

Imogene B. Horn, of Rolla, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at the age of 88.

She was born on November 11, 1937 in Bunker, MO to the late Luther Riden and Maude (Ryce) Riden. On November 7, 1975, she married James E. Horn in Rolla, MO.

In addition to her parents, Imogene was also preceded in death by her husband, Jim Horn; her son, Michael Shomshor; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Shomshor; one sister, Eilleen O'Neal; and a brother-in-law, Paul Spencer.

Imogene was an owner and operator of Jim's Ceramic Tile and worked alongside her husband, Jim. She was also a preneed agent and greeter with Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla for many years. She took pride in being an excellent homemaker and enjoyed quilting and knitting. She was a charter member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church since it began in 1978.

Imogene will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes: two sons, Rick Shomshor and wife, Nikki of Ursa, IL and Ronald Shomshor and wife, Janet of Rolla, MO; one stepdaughter; Debra Dudley and husband, Jim; three stepsons, Dennis James Horn, Michael Eugene Horn and James Eugene Horn, Jr.; two sisters, Lillian Hastings and husband, Sam of Branson, MO and Adra Spencer of St. James, MO; two sisters-in-law, Darlene Riden of West Plains, MO and Ailene Riden of Newburg. MO; six grandchildren, Andy Shomshor, Brandy Shomshor, Eric Shomshor, Annie Shomshor, Anthony Shomshor, and Amanda Phelps and husband, Dustin; eight great grandchildren, Alexis Becker, Bryce Shomshor, Ryker Shomshor, Treyn Shomshor, Alexis Niehouse-Vote, Emma Ball and husband, Jacob, Bryton Vote and Anson Phelps; and one great great grandson, Psalm Ball.

A memorial service for Imogene B. Horn will be conducted at Redeemer Lutheran Church at a late date.
