James Ballinger Obituary
He was born January 17, 1960, the son of John Ballinger and Beverly Downer (Covey).
He would say he is "a knower of all, master of some", all around handy man. He enjoyed spending his time fishing or mushroom hunting as well as visits with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Josh (Renee) Ballinger, Tony Ballinger, Amanda (Jasun) Moote, Aimee (Donny) Ballinger, and Cassie (Marvin) Ballinger; 10 grandchildren; brothers, David (Susan) Ballinger, Dale (Lori) Ballinger, and Mike Ballinger; sisters, Dee Ballinger and Tina Dial; mother of his children, Becky Shelton; significant other of many years, Kamla Allersma; as well as many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by both parents and step-father, John Ballinger, Beverly Downer (Covey), and Leo Downer; as well as a few aunts and uncles.
James was cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements in care of Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
