James "Randy" Balogh

James "Randy" Balogh, 76, of Rusk, TX left us on May 5, 2023 He was surrounded by his wife of 40 years, Carol Balogh and his daughter, Brandi Powers. He was born October 23, 1946 in Mobile, Alabama to James and May Weinlood Balogh. Mr. Balogh served his country by enlisting in the US Navy, not being drafted, during the Vietnam War as an electrical technician and deployed on the USS Chevalier. He was active in both the VFW and the Moose Lodge during his retirement He married Sandra Carol Moore April 28, 1983. He enjoyed collecting various items, fishing, camping, and spending time with his pets.
Randy is survived by his wife, Sandra Balogh of Rusk; daughter: Brandi Powers of Bellflower, CA; sons: Christian Balogh of Costa Mesa, CA and Robert Biren of Grenada Hills, CA; grandchild: Ashton Chappel; brother: Brian Balogh of Monterrey Bay, CA; as well as a number of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Gerard Balogh.
