He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Dera Bankston; and sisters, Nina Avrett, and Robbie Bankston.
Rusty is survived by his daughter, Meagan Young and husband Chris of Thorndale; son, Neil Bankston of Hutto; brother, George Bankston and wife Joyce of Milano; grandchildren, Rylee Bankston, Colby Bankston, and Scarlett Young; and special friend, Lynn Bankston of Thorndale.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2023 in Sand Grove Cemetery in Milano. Serving as pallbearers are Kelly Bankston, Dillon Bankston, Cody Avrett, Philip Young, Tyler Avrett, Weston Avrett, and Garrett Morton.
