James L. Bartz, age 21, passed away suddenly at home, on Saturday, February 11, 2023.
James is survived by his wife Lauren Bartz; Daughter Hazel Bartz; parents James Jay Bartz and Cynthia (John) Privatte; siblings, Jessica (Scott) Meder, Charles T. Harpole, Kathryn Privatte; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death maternal grandmother Gloria Bartz.
James will be remembered for his love of the military, and the outdoors. In his free time, he enjoyed tinkering on motors and models and going for walks. Above all else though, he loved his family deeply. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Services for James will begin with a visitation at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 3pm until the time of service at 7pm. There will be a procession the following day, Friday, February 24, 2023, meeting at the funeral home at 11:15am for a 12:30 pm funeral service at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with full military honors.
