James Beirl Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium on Feb. 22, 2026.
The love of my life James (Jim) Beirl, died on Friday, February 20, 2026 at the age of 71 years old. He battled chronic illness over 20 years and is our "true warrior".

Jim was born August 31, 1954 to James and Carol Beirl. He grew up with his siblings; Michael, Pat, Mary, Matt, and Teresa. He married Kim Maxedon on February 14, 1987 they were married 39 years.

Jim worked for Beloit Cablevision, Marcus, and Charter for almost 30 years. He was known by many as the "cable guy". He also delivered for Tilley's pizza in the 90's as a 2nd job. He volunteered for Riverfest and Beloit Lions Club Rose Day. When he wasn't working, he was being a father to his three sons; Josh (Gretta) Morgan, Thomas (Danielle) Beirl and Robert Beirl. A little later in his life he was given the best gift of all raising his grandson Noah his "bonus" son. Noah gave him the encouragement and the drive to battle anything medically that came his way.

Jim wants everyone to know that has helped us on this journey "thank you"! To Mercy Hospital you are the best, Patrick in critical care, Emilee, and Meghan and the whole 2nd Floor, you all rock! Dr Shekani, thank you for giving Jim 2 1/2 years longer when other places turned him down.

Jim loved all his grandchildren and great grands! He is so proud of each and every one of you.

Go and rest Jim and rejoice in heaven with your son, Bob, mom and dad, brother and all the grams and gramps. We will forever miss you everyday till we meet again.

Jim's wishes were to have no services.
