James T. Bell Jr., affectionately known to friends and family as Jimmy, passed away on May 20, 2025, in his beloved hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on August 23, 1960, Jimmy was a vibrant and outgoing individual who never met a stranger and had an uncanny ability to bring laughter to any situation.
A dedicated roofer by trade, Jimmy was known for his hard work and commitment to his craft. His warm personality and array of jokes made him a cherished figure in the community, where he fostered friendships that spanned across years and experiences.
In addition to his career, Jimmy had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy, including crafting, riding motorcycles, and indulging in his sweet tooth. His zest for life was matched only by his desire to create and enjoy moments that could be shared with others.
Jimmy leaves behind a loving family who will remember him fondly. He is survived by his brother, William (Becky) Bell; nephew, William "Bill Bill" Bell; niece, Heaven Bell; and great-nephews, Amari, Kylan, and Quest. They will carry forward his legacy of humor and warmth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James T. and Wilma Mae (Dickins) Bell, who undoubtedly guided him in spirit throughout his life. As we bid farewell to Jimmy, we celebrate a life lived fully, filled with laughter and love. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
