James Duane Bell, 75, of Titusville, Florida, passed away on February 16, 2026, in Brevard County.

James, known as "Jim" to friends and family, was born on September 18, 1950, in North Dakota. He later made Florida his home, residing in Titusville for many years.

He was an engineer in the aerospace industry and dedicated 54 years of service to Lockheed Martin, where he worked through several shuttle programs. His career reflected his intelligence, work ethic, and commitment to excellence.

Beyond his professional life, Jim was devoted to his community. He volunteered with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office for over 11 years and was honored as Volunteer of the Year in 2021. Through his service, he formed many lasting friendships.

Jim was known for his dry wit and unmistakable Southern sense of humor. He had a steady presence and a personality that left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Gail Duane Bell and Velma Jean Bell (nee, Fink).

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Terri L. Bell; his sons, Michael James Bell (Kendra) and David Gail Bell; his grandchildren, Alexia and Katie; and his sister, Joyce (Daniel) Lockwood. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.

Donations in Jim's name may be made to the Brevard County Sherriff's Office or to St. Francis Hospice.
