Charles Bell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Samuel J. Jones Funeral Home on Feb. 20, 2026.
Charles E. Bell Charles Edward Bell, affectionately known to his family as "Poopie," transitioned home on Sunday, February 16, 2026, in Sharon, PA, at the age of 70.

Born on September 21, 1955, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Bernice (Vaughn) Bell and Charles Bell, he was raised in the Hill District. He received his early education through the Pittsburgh Public School system. After relocating to St. Clair Village,

Charles continued his education and attended South High School. Charles' last professional position was at St. Francis Hospital, where he worked in the Maintenance Department for many years.

Through life's hardships and challenges, he never lost his integrity, dignity, or kind spirit. Charles was a man you could talk to for hours, with a sense of humor that was unmatched. He had a love of dancing and music; one of the artists he especially enjoyed was Patti LaBelle. He also had a passion for cooking, furniture restoration, and interior design. Charles loved watching tennis matches on television.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sadie and Edward Vaughn, and his sister, Consundra Bell-Favor. He will be welcomed with open arms by a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and relatives who await him. Charles leaves a legacy of love. Cherishing his memory are his niece, Dawn Favor; nephews, David Bell and Darol Bell; and brother-in-law, Darol "Bink" Favor. He also leaves behind his great-nieces, Destiney Bell, Oddyssey Bell, Cierra Bell, and Bria Brown-Favor; great-nephew, David Bell Jr.; along with a host of great-great-nieces, cousins, other relatives, and amazing friends who will miss him deeply.
