Martha Ann Ledney, 86, of Sharpsville, formerly of Transfer, PA, and Odenton, MD, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, February 20, 2026, in her home.

Mrs. Ledney was born on November 8, 1939, in Vienna, OH, a daughter of the late Walter and Anna (Patrick) Demshuk, and graduated from Brookfield High School in 1957.

Following graduation, Martha worked at The Sharon Store, which later became Strauss’s in downtown Sharon. She then worked as a cafeteria cook at Transfer Elementary School, and later worked in the same capacity at Thiel College, retiring in 2006.

Earlier in life, Martha taught Sunday School at St. John Orthodox Church, Hermitage. She later became a member of Holy Cross Orthodox, also in Hermitage, where she sang in the choir and volunteered making pumpkin rolls.

Martha took pride in her Russian heritage. She enjoyed shopping, getting out, and spending time with family and friends, both near and far.

Her first husband, Michael D. Ledney, whom she married in 1974, preceded her in death on November 10, 2005. She later married Herbert Lepp on March 15, 2024, and he preceded her in death on February 19, 2025.

Martha is survived by four daughters, Christine (John) Tuskan, of Hermitage, Dr. Rachel (Michael) Odom, of Odenton, MD, Loretta (John) Augustine, of Masury, OH, and Carolyn (John) Guzik, of Hermitage; a sister-in-law, Kathy Demshuk, of Masury, OH; four grandchildren, Tori (Chris) Capone, Nathan Painter, James L. (Kaylene) Back, Jr., and Daniel Guzik; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Martha was preceded in death by her younger brother, Very Rev. Vladimir Demshuk.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday (2-24-26) in St. John’s Orthodox Church, 3180 Morefield Rd., Hermitage.

A funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m., in the church, with Rev. David Mastroberte, officiating.
