James V. Bertola

James V. Bertola, 93, of Monessen, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Country Care Manor. Born August 8, 1932 in Monessen, PA he was the son of the late Chris and Mary Consenery Bertola. A lifelong resident of Monessen, Mr. Bertola was a veteran of Korean where he served in the US Army and was a retired mill wright from Whg-Pgh Steel- Monessen with 43 years of service. He was a doting and loving ‘pap’ to his granddaughter, Francesca. James enjoyed listening to music of the 70s & 80s and working and tinkering around the house doing his own renovations.

He is survived by daughter & son in law Jamie & Carl Fronzaglio of Belle Vernon, son James D. Bertola of Monessen, brother & sister in law Chris L. & Glenna Bertola, sister Rose Ann Bridge of Monessen, and granddaughter Francesca Fronzaglio. He is preceded in death by his wife Sherry A. Wall Bertola (1/19/2026).

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10-11 AM followed by funeral services at 11 AM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Interment will take place in Fells Cemetery. The family would wish to extend a special thank you to Country Care Manor and OSPTA Hospice for their loving care and support given to both parents Sherry and Jim.
