James Thomas Brandon Bethea, born on December 3rd, 1978, to Ms. Sylvia Bethea and Mr. James Bethea of Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Saturday, July 8th, 2023.
James loved his children and enjoyed spending time with them. He took every opportunity to teach and educate them about the expectations of life and how to navigate both their wins and their losses. James was always up for a challenge and willing to take chances, James lived a life without fear.
Predeceased by his father James C. Bethea, Grandparents Irvin O'Neal Jr. & Patricia M. O'Neal and Grandmother "Dottie". James leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Sylvia Bethea, brother Taurean Bethea, three sisters Monica Bethea, Jamie Caulton (Jajuan Caulton) and Lisette Bethea-Scott (Eric Scott); sons Kajai Bethea and Isander Robles, daughters Frances Bethea, Leylani Bethea, Nihla Bethea, his grandson Kenzo Bethea, cousin Tiffany O'Neal as well as aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, family and friends. Services will be held Thursday July 20,, 2023. Visitation 10 AM to 11:00 AM with Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM Henderson Funeral Home 52 Hancock St. Springfield, MA 01109. Burial at Hillcrest Park Cemetery 895 Parker St. Springfield, MA 01129. Henderson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. For more information, go to: www.hendersonsfh.com

You will be missed. Sincerely Anthony Maldonado. My heart is beyond heavy with your passing. I promise I will watch over daughters my nieces and your Sons my nephews. I really wanted to see you again and hoped we would figured prosperous future for our loved ones. The burden is on me. I won´t let you down. Promise. My respect to Mrs. Sylvia. I know James cannot be replaced but I´m here for you as your additional son. Love always Anthony.
