To my dear Godmother Margaret: I am so sorry to hear about Jim. I was just looking through the obituaries and was shocked to see this! You are such a wonderful mother and he loved you so much. You and my mom were friends since you were young ladies and I spent time with Jim as a child - what a good guy! God bless you at this time.

J.R. (as guys go) was unusually mild mannered. He had a keen mind and was always well read and up on all the local & world news. He had a dry sense of humor and was quick to elaborate on awkward situations or glaring misconduct or inept behavior. J.R. was usually upbeat and always adorned with a wry grin. I enjoyed our many penetrating discussions and goading him into his usual display of candor which was never well hidden. I considered J.R. a patient, caring and loving friend. I felt fortunate to have known Jim and shared much over the years with him at 3M. Thanks again, JR for spotting that '88 Maxima wagon, Patty & I still drive it today ... I only wish I could have found a spotless '50 Nash for you!
I'll miss you my friend.
Safe trip ... until we meet again.

Jim's Family & Friends - my sincere condolences. I worked with Jim at 3M, and we had many interesting conversations - many around cars (especially Pontiacs). I always appreciated his quick wit and sense of humor. My prayers are with you.
