James Franklin “Frank” Boggs, 90, of Central, husband to Gloria Holladay Boggs, passed away March 10, 2024.
Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Choice Vernon Boggs and Janie Gillespie Boggs. Frank graduated from Pendleton High School then went on to receive his Bachelors of Science from Clemson University. He retired from JP Stevens as a supervisor and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Boggs enjoyed working in his garden.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Holladay Boggs; sons, James Michael Boggs and wife Lynn of High Point, NC and Freddie Leon Boggs and wife Theresa of Pickens; brother, R.C. Boggs and wife Jane of Central; sister, Mary Dunn of Hickory Tavern, SC; sister-in-law, Delores Boggs grandchildren, Christopher Boggs (Brittnee) of Liberty, Bethany Reynonds (Jamie) of Six Mile, Joshua Boggs (Jessica) of Greer, Emily Willis of Oviedo, FL, Bridget Morosan (Alex) of Central, Jason Boggs of Central, Betsy Boggs (Sheridan) of Philadelphia, PA, Katherine Boggs of Taylors, SC, and Kelly Boggs of Nashville, TN. Mr. Boggs is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
Frank was predeceased by his parents; son, Donald Gregory Boggs; grandson, Benjamin Boggs; brothers, Clint Boggs, Marion Boggs, and Vernon Boggs; sister, Hazel Hudson.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Road, Central, SC.
Funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Memory Gardens, Central, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 3041 Six Mile Highway, Central, SC 29630.
