James Boggs

James J Boggs of Medford, NJ and long-time resident of Colts Neck, NJ was born in Philadelphia, PA to James P. Boggs and Alice Bertand Boggs on October 15, 1931.
He went to grammar school at Norwood Academy and attended La Salle High School graduating in 1949. He continued his winning rowing career in college attending La Salle University and graduated with a degree in Finance before joining the Army during the Korean War where he was part of the 101st Airborne Division based in Fort Jackson, SC. Later, he went on to earn an executive MBA at the Kelley School of Business in Bloomington, IN. He had a distinguished career as a sales executive with the Ingersoll-Rand Company for 40 years with many international responsibilities and recognitions including being inducted into the Automotive Industry Hall of Fame and starting Ingersoll-Rand's entry into NASCAR racing in the 1960s alongside the Wood brothers. He enjoyed spending time with his family & friends, boating, NASCAR races, and spending time in Avalon, NJ.
James is preceded in death by his wife Rosalie Maher Boggs and survived by his children Cynthia A. Boggs of Medford, NJ, Michael J. (Janine) Boggs of Lumberton, NJ, and James J. (Jacqueline) Boggs, Jr. of Medford, NJ. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Stephanie (David) Boggs Magagna, Audrey (Curtis) Boggs MacIver and Abigail Michelle Boggs. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, Charlotte Magagna, Madeline Magagna, and David Charles Magagna III.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 10-11 AM, at St. Mary of the Lakes R.C. Church, 40 Jackson Road, Medford, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM, at the church.
Interment will take place privately for family at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
