James A. Bolstridge

James A. Bolstridge, 80, passed away on September 28, 2023. He was the loving husband of the late Kathrine Bolstridge for 38 years before her passing in 2011. Born in Hartford, he was a longtime resident of East Hartford, and was a member of St. Mary's Church, East Hartford. After a long, successful career, he retired from Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford. James and Katherine loved to travel, enjoyed many cruises together and spent a great deal of time camping. He enjoyed baseball and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox.
James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He leaves two sons and a daughter, Jon Bolstridge, Kelly Thurston, and James P. Bolstridge and his wife Stephanie; and grandchildren, Eugene Wojnilo, Lucas Bolstridge, Timothy Bolstridge, and Emily Bolstridge. He was predeceased by his son Adrian Conlin; his step-mother who raised him Sylvia; and his sisters Jean Bidwell and Joyce King.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with James' family on Friday, October 6th from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Duksa Family Funeral Home at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. in St. Mary Church, East Hartford. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford.
