James L Bosgraf

James L. Bosgraf, age 84, a resident of Wheaton IL, Denver Co, Oostburg WI and Lookout Mtn GA went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, December 23, 2025. He was born May 24, 1941 in Wheaton Il, to Leonard and Dorothy Bosgraf.

James grew up in Wheaton Il where he graduated from Wheaton Academy. He attended and graduated from Wheaton College and Gordon-Conwell Seminary. August 8, 1964 James married Judy Anderson. He loved and served Jesus, loved and served his family, and loved and served people. His calling was to serve Christ through ministry. He pastored churches in Hanover Park Il Denver CO and Oostburg WI and served as a church planter throughout the Midwest and Canada for 26 years.

James also loved sports and the outdoors. He had a passion to enjoy God's creation through outdoor activities. He enjoyed sailing, golf, tennis, and water and snow skiing. James loved being with his family as they all participated in these activities as a coach and mentor but most importantly as their biggest encourager. James also enjoyed time spent at Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire, a beautiful place he was introduced to by his loving wife Judy.

James was a kind and patient man that truly cared for those around him. It was always evident in his life that pointing people to Christ was his passion. His life was a great example of service for the King and he will be missed by his family and those who knew him well.

He is survived by his two children, Kimberly Bosgraf of Berwyn and Scott (Lansing) Bosgraf of Lookout Mountain GA, 3 grandchildren, Alexandra, Hamilton (Kailey), and Mya Bosgraf one great granddaughter Ellis Aiken Bosgraf, one sister Dorothy Dvorak and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Judy, his daughter Heather and his parents and 3 brothers.

The Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM with a Funeral Service at 10:30 AM, at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 1401 S Naperville Rd, Wheaton, IL 60189. Burial will be immediately after the service at Wheaton Cemetery.
