James Bradley Boulton, born on August 21, 1965, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, on October 9, 2025. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Brad's life was marked by a blend of hard work, passion, and a remarkable ability to connect with those around him.
Professionally, Brad dedicated himself to the field of refrigeration, completing his education with a high school graduation followed by vocational training. His dedication to his craft was evident during his tenure at the local Mercy Hospital, where he made significant contributions with his expertise, earning respect from peers and patrons alike. He also held a refrigeration license, underscoring his commitment to his profession.
Beyond his professional achievements, Brad was known for his great personality and having a huge heart. He excelled in raising his children, taking immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness. Brad's sons, Braxton Boulton of Tishomingo, Caleb Richards and his wife Danica, and Dylan Kopp and wife Kailie, along with his vibrant grandchildren—Mallory, Briley, Landon, Kailynn, Kinslee, Laklynn, and Dallas—were often the center of his world. His life’s proudest accomplishments were defined not just by his career, but by the love and joy he derived from his family and his love in drag racing.
Brad was an avid fan of weightlifting and drag racing, where many cherished memories were formed, particularly surrounding the races and the joys of life shared with loved ones, including his wedding day, a significant milestone that became a touching memory treasured by his family. Brad spent hours with two very good friends, lifting weights, Shannon Smith and Jay Bergner. To those who do not know, Brad was one of a kind and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lelia Boulton, and his mom, Wilfa Gustin and husband Warren , both of Tishomingo. He is also survived by his sisters, Vicki Martin of Milburn, and Angie Murray and husband Chris of Madill.
Brad's passing comes too soon, leaving a void in the hearts of many. His legacy will endure through the love and lessons he imparted to his family and friends.
