Marie L. Boulton

Marie L. Boulton, age 96, of Lansdale, passed away on Thursday November 13, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur A. Boulton, with whom she shared over 51 years of marriage.

Born April 9, 1929, in Hatfield, she was a daughter of the late Robert K. and Erma (Springer) Davis. She graduated from Lansdale High School in 1947. After high school she worked at Link Belt, then at Leeds & Northrup where she rose to the position of Executive Secretary to the company president. She also took time off to raise her two children, Dave & Jim. Marie was active in the community, chairing the United Way for Leeds & Northrup and volunteering her time at St. Johns United Church of Christ, the Cub scouts, the Boy Scouts, and in later years at Dock Woods.

Marie is survived by her son David A. Boulton and his wife Nancy B. Smith, her son James R. Boulton and his wife Laura; grandchildren Sarah Kathleen, Rachel Eva, Jessica Marie, and James Arthur Boulton; and sister Barbara Burnett. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Robert Davis, daughter-in-law Carolyn I. (Solewski) Boulton, brother-in-law Bill Burnett, sister-in-law Margaret Murphy, and brother-in-law Harry Murphy.

A funeral service for Marie will be held December 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, where the family will receive guests from 10:00 – 10:45 AM. Interment will take place at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.

Marie grew up in Lansdale and was a lifelong resident of the area. She moved to Montgomeryville after marrying and enjoyed many years there with her husband and family. In later years, she was a long-time resident of the Dock Woods community. Marie's joyful and bright spirit was always appreciated by her family and friends, with whom she shared many years of family get-togethers, picnics, tea room luncheons, silly stories, parties, card games, trips, and laughter. She was always generous, always smiling and laughing, and showed great kindness to all. Marie loved music and concerts, and played the piano, accordion, ukulele, and guitar. She was an avid tennis player and enjoyed sewing, crafting, cooking, making sand tart cookies at Christmas, poetry, reading mysteries, riding bicycles on the boardwalk in Ocean City, and spending summers in Maine. She'll be remembered for her steady presence; the laughter and smiles she brought to all who knew her; her kind, generous, patient, joyful spirit; and the love she gave so fully to those closest to her.
