Bernadette Ann Barvitskie-Bowlin

Bernadette Ann Barvitskie-Bowlin, of Schwenksville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 17, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Raymond "Ed" Bowlin, Jr..

Born in Shamokin, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jerome E. and Mary V. (Mulin) Barvitskie.

Bernadette was a graduate of Temple University and dedicated more than 30 years to teaching kindergarten at Copper Beech Elementary School. She was passionate about helping children learn and grow, and she touched countless young lives with her gentleness, patience, and compassion.

Bernadette lived life with joy and generosity. She loved hiking, biking, pickleball, gardening, raising caterpillars into butterflies, enjoying summer days by her pool, riding golf carts, and caring for her beloved cats. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends. She was a devoted daughter, loving wife, cherished sister, proud aunt, and adoring cat mom. Her bright smile and warm spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She is survived by her sister, Marie D'Abbene and her husband, Charles D'Abbene; her brother, Kevin Barvitskie and his wife, Terry Barvitskie; her nieces Melissa D'Abbene-Miller and her husband Craig, Mallory D'Abbene and her husband Shawn, Mariah D'Abbene and Hayley Barvitskie; and her nephews Michael Barvitskie and Dillon Barvitskie and his wife Erin, and a sister Colleen Barvitskie.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Jerome Barvitskie, Jr.

A celebration of Bernadette's life will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, November 24 at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA 18969.
