James Mack Brawner, 75, of Plainfield, passed away on April 11, 2025 surrounded by loving family members. He was born in Lafayette, TN on February 21, 1950 to the late James E. and Alma Brawner. Mack was a machine repair man for GM Truck and Bus retiring in 1989. He was a member of the UAW. Mack enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing in his free time. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Mack was preceded in death by sisters, Ruby Harris, Lucy Franklin, Joy Hooberry and Betty Guinn. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 12:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his loving wife, Dena Brawner; sons, Josh (Abby) and Zach (Carley) Brawner; sisters, Billie Bradley, Audrey Dawes and Becky Johnson; grandchildren, Zoe, Phoebe, Elizabeth and Emily; sisters in law, Lorrie Turner and Patty Stahl.
