Graveside service for James Edgar Brazier ‘Hinky”, age 89, of Cookville, Texas, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Liberty Hill Cemetery. Mr. Brazier passed away in his home on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in Mount Pleasant, Texas.
James Edgar Brazier was born on June 25, 1936, in Richland, Texas to Julia Marie and Richard E. Brazier.
James enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading the bible and western books. He loved his dog, Hatchet.
He is survived by his children; Lisa, Shirley, Debbie, Misty, Billy, Robert, and Jim, his siblings; Dole and Mary Katherine, his grandchildren; Chrystal, Robert, Ashley, Tambra, Deion, Britney, Raquel and James, his great-grandchildren; Deion, Tytus, Tharyn, Travis, Paisley, Ivory, Deion, and Everlyn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
James was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Richard, Charles, Elzie, Yancy, and Dannie.
