WADESBORO - On Sunday, October 22, 2023, Mr. James Robert "Bobby" Brown, 68, passed away unexpectedly in Stanly County.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 26, 2023 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Knotts officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park with military honors.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the funeral home.
Bobby was born December 28, 1954 in Anson County, NC and was a son of the late Horace Brice "Pete" Brown and the late Elizabeth "Lib" Threadgill Brown. He was a graduate of Bowman High School and a veteran of the United States Army.
He was a well-known and well-respected electrician in Wadesboro, having worked for a number of years with Kermit Smith Electrical and later owning and operating , his own business, James Robert Brown Electrical.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Nicci Brown (Chris) of Lilesville, Shannon Carpenter (David), Jamy Phillips (Bert), Chris Sisk and Jackson Brown all of Wadesboro and Mitchell Hendrix (Jody) of Mint Hill; his grandchildren, Michael Burr, Sam Mullis, McKenzie Richardson, Summer Sisk, Mattie Brown, Whitney Phillips, Franky Phillips and Elliott Carpenter; his brother, Johnny Brown (Jane) of Polkton; his sister-in-law, Darnell Lang (Joey) of Morven; his special friend, Diane Tarlton of Wadesboro and his beloved dog, Sparky.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy McRae Brown and his brother, Charlie Brown.
Bobby will be remember as a very simple and humble man who loved his family dearly and was always willing to help others.
