James H. Bushman

James “Jim” Bushman, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2025 at his home. He was born on April 27, 1961 to the late Leland and Marjorie (Endries) Bushman. He attended St. Isidore Catholic School in Osman before the family moved to Howards Grove. Jim graduated from Howards Grove High School in 1979 with annual Honor Roll and Perfect Attendance awards. He then received a degree in plastics technology at Lakeshore Technical College and gained employment from Bemis Mfg while still in school.

Jim recently retired from a lifetime career at Bemis Manufacturing as a machinist. Jim had a passion for car shows, swap meets, snowmobiling, and outings to race tracks that include Kiel, Elkhart Lake and Manitowoc. He participated in racing stock cars as well as in demolition derbies. His high-maintenance love, a GTO muscle car still survives.

In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by many aunts and uncles. He is survived by an uncle, Alfred and his wife Kathleen Endries, many cousins and beloved friends.

A memorial service honoring Jim’s life will held at Zimmer Westview Funeral Home, W2132 Garton Road Sheboygan, on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Committal prayers by Father Subi Thomas will follow the memorial service, in lieu of the burial service next to his parents at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Monday.

Memorial funds can be directed to "Estate of James Bushman" as his extended family works with the new Howard's Grove Middle School for a donation in Jim’s name.
