HARTFORD – James M. “Mike” Cambron, 77, passed away October 27th, 2025. He was born in Owensboro on February 1st, 1948 to James E. and Betty Ambrose Cambron. Mike was married for 56 years to Donna Paxton Cambron.
Mike was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and the UMWA. He was very proud of his military service in Vietnam and his years as a coal miner at Ken Surface Mine. Mike was an avid gardener and took great pride in it. He was dedicated to his family and many friends. His joy was being helpful to others.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant sister.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Donna Paxton Cambron; son, Jason (Natalie) Cambron; daughter, Jeana (Barry) Moseley; his four cherished grandchildren, Kiley (Hunter), Emma, Emily and Nicole; his “dandy” great-grandson, Lane; brother, Timmy Cambron; and sisters, Pat (Mike) Lord, Cissy (Jeff) Hickey.
His service will be held Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Dr. Glenn Armstrong and Bro. John Cashion presiding. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family asks that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Ohio County Hospice. Online messages of condolence may be sent to bevilbrosfuneralhomes.com.
