Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is being held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 16, 2025, at West Main Baptist Church for James Eric Carrillo of Artesia. His cremains will be buried at Woodbine Cemetery following the service.
James (JJ Stokes), 53, died on Friday, April, 11, 2025, in Albuquerque. He was born on March 16, 1972, in Phoenix, Arizona; the son of Anstaseo (Frank) Carrillo and Ema Vargas Carrillo.
He was an avid Raiders fan and WWE The Gravedigger was his favorite, but he loved all sports.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank and nephew, Daniel Boone.
Survivors include his son, Francisco Carrillo (Yariah Martinez), mother, Ema and sister, Judy Carrillo, nephew, Matthew Gonzales, niece, Crystal Gonzales, grandson, Xander Rey Carrillo and many cousins.
Honorary pallbearers are Albino Araujo, Mike Sanchez, Ricky Gonzalez, Special Thanks to David Baca for helping James during his illness.
James will be missed by his many family and friends, this is not goodbye but 'till we see you again. We love you, James, forever in our Hearts.
