James Perry Carroll

James P Carroll, 65, passed away peacefully on September 26th, 2023 in his home after a long fought battle.
James, fondly known as Jim, was born to James and Alice Carroll, on May 28th 1958, in San Angelo, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Carroll, and two daughters, Tyler (William) and Marisa (Ryan). He is also survived by his father James Carroll (Dixie), his sister, Judy McClain (David), and his brother Jerry Carroll (Cindy). Jim was predeceased by his mother, Alice Carroll. Survived by many more, Jim loved his extended family of brothers and sister in laws and nieces and nephews.
Jim held many titles in his life, from a devoted husband of 35 years to a golf enthusiast, but his favorite role was being a father. He loved nothing more than spending time with his adult children, Tyler and Marisa. He was always there for them, whether he was coaching them in preparation for a tennis match or cheering them along in life and their careers.
Jim fought his battle against multiple cancers for fifteen long years. Despite spending much of that time in and out of the hospital, he truly never lost his sense of humor. Throughout his entire journey, he cracked jokes with his grown children, wife, and any nurse who would laugh with him. He had a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor will be missed.
Jim's family will host a gathering on Saturday, October 7th 2023, extended to all whose lives were impacted by him. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. with his service beginning at 3:00 pm. The service will be at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home Peachtree Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society in Jim's name.
