James Thomas Walter Case

James Thomas Walter Case entered the world with a grand entrance, arriving two months early as the youngest of seven children born to James and Ruby Case. From the start, James' arrival brought joy and excitement to his family that continued throughout the rest of his life.

James was known for his kind brown eyes and his strong-willed spunky personality. He might have been the youngest, but there's no doubt he was the family manager. He shared a deep love for his family, even giving them fond nicknames that have stood the test of time. His zest for life showed up in countless ways-his love for music and dancing, his impeccable style and polished appearance, his enjoyment for a good cup of coffee, his fondness for cruising, McDonald's French fries, The Price Is Right, and the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. He embraced life with humor, joy, and an open heart.

Above all else, James' greatest devotion was to his family. He loved them fiercely and unconditionally.

James was proceeded in death by his beloved parents, James and Ruby Case.

He is survived by his cherished siblings Laurie (LeAnne) Buehler, Jeff (LiChing) Lucht, Jerry "Mama's Boy" (Kim "George") Lucht, Lisa "Baby" (David) Key, Lynda "BeBe" (Jerry "Buddy") Huffman, and Jennie "Oops" Runyan, lots of nieces and nephews, and extended family. Friends become the family you choose and Gentle Moments was just that-his extended chosen family.

As his loved ones grieve his passing, they take comfort in the thought of James reunited with his mom and dad-sharing a good cup coffee, swaying to country music, and watching over the family he loved so deeply.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 19 th, 2025 from 3-5pm at the Huffman Ponderosa. Located at 13890 E. Business Hwy 13, Lexington, MO 64067. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to be made to Gentle Moments in Memory of James Case in Care of Scott Edwards.
