James Celeste Obituary

James Philip Celeste, age 78 of Kissimmee, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at his residence. He was born on February 27, 1947, in Boston, Massachusetts to Vincent James and Marie Jeanette (Gomes) Celeste.

James grew up in Stoneham Massachusetts and in 1978 he made Central Florida his home. He married Tammy (Schmitt) of Cocoa Beach, FL in 1986 and they have cherished over 40 years of love and companionship together.

He was a hard worker and had a passion for the art of sales. James went on to be the owner, operator and C.E.O. of his own industrial water treatment company Chemline Inc. established in 1986 and located in Kissimmee. He truly was a man of many interests, hobbies and endless talents. Whether it be playing his hand in the stock market on Wall Street, riding horses on his father's farm, playing a game of tennis, camping with family and few amenities of comfort, days spent fishing or relaxing while reading one of his favored non-fictional books, he simply enjoyed the small things in life and pursued his many passions. James was part of the Osceola County Republican Executive Committee, and he was a social person who loved to spend his time catching up on the latest news, talking politics with friends and giving finical advice when he could. He kept his family and friends full of laughter with his sense of humor, continuous jokes and all the pranks he pulled.

Jame's presence was a true blessing to all of us, and he will be deeply missed, but his love and legacy will live on in our hearts forever.

Surviving are his mother; Marie Jeanette Celeste of Kissimmee, Florida. Loving wife; Tammy Celeste of Kissimmee, Florida. Daughters; Autumn (Justin Muller) Celeste of Tavares, Florida and Brianna Celeste of Kissimmee, Florida. Brother; Philip Celeste of Mattawamkeag, Maine. Sisters; Jean Celeste of Ocala, Florida and Marie Celeste of Silver Spring, Maryland. He was blessed with 4 grandchildren; Emma, Paige, James and Livia that he adored greatly.

He was preceded in death by his father; Vincent James Celeste.

Visitation for James will be held from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Roger C. Thompson Memorial Chapel, Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home, 511 Emmett Street, Kissimmee, Florida 34741. Services for James will be held at 11A.M.
