James Chadbourne Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Service - Bucksport on Nov. 11, 2024.
James F. Chadbourne Jr., 53, passed away unexpectedly on November 5th, 2024 at his home in Bucksport, Maine. He was born on July 2nd, 1971 in Exeter, New Hampshire the son of James and Maureen (Marcella) Chadbourne Sr. James attended Taconic High School of Pittsfield, Massachusetts. After completion, he discovered he had an aptitude and love for woodworking, cooking, and many other trades. Working for Verizon Communications with his father at a young age, he learned many skills and enjoyed being on the road. He spent many years working for various employers in Massachusetts and Maine. Some of his most memorable occupations were being the head chef at elite high-end establishments as well as integrating his custom woodwork in a wide range of businesses, celebrity mansions and yachts. He enjoyed sharing his vast knowledge of many things with everyone, but especially his children.
He was an avid supporter of both of his children in the sport of hockey, traveling all over New England and beyond to cheer them on. During holidays and family functions, if he wasn't at the hockey rink he would often be found in the kitchen cooking. He always made sure to share with us that his food was superior to others due to his secret ingredient, "love". In his most recent years, he could be found harvesting and milling lumber, amongst spending time at his family camp on Toddy Pond.
He is predeceased by his mother and father and beloved sister Robin Emery. He is survived by his children Alexander Chadbourne of Cutler, ME and Abigail Norton and her husband Randy of Columbia, ME; four grandchildren, Carter and Sophia Chadbourne and Randy and Avery Norton; He also leaves behind a sister, several nieces, nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
