James Hamp Chambers

James Hamp Chambers, 81, of Berry, KY, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at his home in the care of his nieces Sandy and Tonya. Born on October 20, 1943 in Campton, KY, he was a son of the late Curtis and Effie Deaton Chambers. He was a heavy equipment operator all of his life. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, and working on bulldozers. He was an uncle to many kids throughout his life and treated them all like they were his own. He is survived by 4 sisters, Geneva Hamilton, Connie (Rick) Deitz, Carolyn Traylor, Charolette Chambers, and 13 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Viola Beckett, and 2 brothers, Curtis and Joe Chambers. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Woodhead Funeral Home in Berry with Tommy Milner officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be David Wayne, James Thomas, Danny, J.C., Eli, and Brian. Burial will follow in the Pythian Grove Cemetery.
