James Lyle Chambers, 77, of Englewood, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Born on June 14, 1948, in Andrews, North Carolina, Lyle lived a life defined by service, dedication, and love.
A proud Marine Veteran, Lyle served his country honorably for two years in Vietnam, reflecting his deep commitment to the values of bravery and sacrifice. Following his military service, Lyle built a successful career at Heil Trailer International, where he dedicated over 30 years of his life, contributing to the company’s growth and success.
Lyle's legacy is cherished by his surviving family members, including his sister, Donna Marion, and his sister and brother-in-law, Dawn and Rick Moore. He is also remembered fondly by his stepdaughter, Julie Moore, and step-granddaughter, Bailey Moore-Church, as well as a large extended family, who will carry his memory forward in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelyn Chambers, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship. Lyle was also preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Hazel Chambers.
Graveside service will be held at a later date.
