James Clegg Obituary
May 12, 1941 ~ July 16, 2025
James George Clegg passed away on July 16, 2025, at the age of 84.
He was a wonderful husband, amazing father, loving grandfather, and a devoted friend. Jim was born in Park City, Utah to Edythe Grace Johnson and James Raymond Clegg on May 12, 1941.
Jim is survived by his wife, Marie, four of their five children: Randy (Amy) Clegg, Heather (Antonio) Araneda, Amy (Cory) Reich, Jamie Ellerman, 23 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. One sister Kathie (Bruce) Cutler and brothers Terry (Melodee) Clegg and Steve (DeAnne) Clegg and Navajo sister Theresa (Joe) Robledo. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Michael James.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Alta Canyon Chapel 2400 E. Alta Canyon Drive Sandy, Utah 84093. Viewings will take place at the same location on Friday, July 25th, 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday the 26th 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment, Heber City Cemetery. Jim is one of those rare people who always thought about other people. He practiced kindness in everything I ever saw him do. His number one consideration was always for his wonderful wife and then everyone else involved in his life. He reached out to those in need. I'm only sorry that I didn't meet him earlier in life but grateful for the time I did know him. My thoughts are with Marie and all of his family. He will me missed here, but always well remembered and valued where he has gone!
