James L. Cloud, 79, of Anderson, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at home following a brief illness.
He was born on September 25, 1946, in Elwood, Indiana to Marion John Jr. and Etha Mae (Mills) Cloud. He was a 1964 graduate of Frankton High School. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors as a pipefitter/steamfitter after 47 years of employment.
He was a member of Northview Church, Anderson Campus. He enjoyed woodworking and watching sprint car racing. He also enjoyed gardening, researching genealogy and antiquing. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
James is survived by his wife, Donna "Sue" (Thackrey) Cloud; a son, Mike (wife, Lisa) Cloud of Brentwood, Tennessee; a daughter, Amy Raymore of Anderson; two grandchildren, Peter Cloud and Sarah Cloud; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Cloud.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Pastor Nate Jeffers officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery in Anderson. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Lapel American Legion Post #212.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
