James Cole Obituary
Mr. James Alphozo. Cole, 84, passed away on December 7, 2025, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. Originally from North Carolina, he was the son of Willie and Ereather C. McDonald Cole and relocated to New York after marrying Betty J. Cole, raising nine children and a large family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In 2006, he married Sarah Cole, with whom he had three more children and several grandchildren. He worked in trucking and was known for his devotion to family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Betty, seven brothers, and four sisters.
His survivors include his wife Sarah, twelve children, James (Jackie) Cole, Mary (Johnny Earl) Cole, Martha Cole, Bruce Cole, Aaron Cole, Pamela Cole, Bernadette Cole, Ricky Cole, Phillip Cole, Debra Davis Tyrone Davis and Lionell Davis; two sisters, Shirley (deceased husband Thomas) and Maria Cole, one brother, Ivey Cole, a special grandson, Darryl Davis, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the ben Samuel Hill Memorial Chapel of Hill's Mortuary, with the Rev. Maurice Hill, officiating.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
