James "Jim" Conner Obituary
James "Jim" Conner, 72, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away on January 4, 2024. Born on May 28th, 1951, in Goochland, Virginia, Jim lived a vibrant life filled with love and cherished moments.
Jim met his beloved wife, Helen, during his service in Germany. Drafted into the army during the Vietnam War, fate brought together a nurse midwife and a dedicated serviceman together. Upon completing his tour, they returned to Jim's hometown in Goochland, Virginia, exchanging vows in 1973. Their union blessed them with two daughters. As a devoted father, Jim actively coached his daughters' softball teams and made weekends memorable with camping and boating adventures.
An enthusiast of life's simple pleasures, Jim found joy in fishing, hunting, dancing, comedy, and exploring new destinations through travel.
Jim leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by his beloved wife, Helen Conner 50 years; daughters Gina (Marc) Michals of Jupiter, FL, and Kristie (Jurn) Rudolph; and Paul McCormick; sister; Lucille (Ed) Faulkner, brothers; David Conner, Lee (Laura) Conner, and grandchildren Maya, Mila, Helena, Noah, and Lea.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Macel Conner and Victor Marlin, and brothers Ronnie Marlin and John Marlin, along with his cherished canine companions, Pebbles and Ripple.
Those who wish to honor Jim's life are invited to attend the services to celebrate his journey: A funeral mass will be celebrated 11am Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. A visitation will follow where family will receive friends 4-6pm with a 5:30pm service at the funeral home.
