Jennifer Hawkins Conner

Jennifer Hawkins Conner, 56, of Virginia Beach passed away on January 19, 2026 at home with her husband Eric. Jennifer was born in Hampton, Virginia to Carolyn Hawkins and S. Frear Hawkins and had a brother named Tred Hawkins. She was married to her husband Eric H. Conner for 30+ years. She is survived by her husband Eric, her mother Carolyn, her mother in law Patty her sons and families and the rest of the Conner family. Jennifer graduated from Hampton High School, got her Bachelors in Sociology from the University of Virginia and a Paralegal degree from J. Sargent Reynolds.

Some of the many jobs that Jennifer had were Mary Perkins, Busch Garden's, UVA Catering, Pargos restaurant, Creeds Library, Sonny's Mechanical Service and packing up Ebay packages. Some of these jobs she worked with came with life-long friends. Some were with her husband. Jennifer was a hard worker and always did her best to get the job done.

Jennifer loved her cats and walks around the neighborhood sometimes like 3 miles. Some of her other favorite walks would be in Charlottesville walking the grounds or the downtown mall or the beach in Nags head. She was an avid reader, loved listening to music, looking at Facebook and YouTube and talking on the phone. Jennifer remained in contact with her friends, some were from childhood, some from school and college and other were later, but she loved them all.

Jennifer was a cancer survivor for many years. In her last months the pain was so great she called out for the Lord to take the pain away. He gave her the strength to find help for her pain. Days later she told me "I love you" and reached out we hugged soon after the lord picked her up and took her to heaven. We will walk golden paths together in Heaven someday, Eric.
