James Joseph "J.J." Connor Jr.

James Joseph ("J.J.") Connor, Jr., 61, of Ocala, FL, passed away in his home, surrounded by
loving family, on Friday, October 10, 2025.
J.J. was born in Wellsville, NY on February 5, 1964, to Marlene (Schettine) Connor and the late
James Connor, Sr. He graduated from Wellsville Central School in Wellsville, NY in 1982 and
went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from St. John Fisher
University. J.J. worked, traveling extensively, in the natural gas pipeline construction industry for
more than three decades and served as the Vice President of Operations for Skibeck Pipeline
Company, Inc., and later for Meridien Energy. He was an active member of the American
Pipeline Contractors Association for many years. After leaving the energy sector, he owned and
operated Ocala Contractor Supply, treasuring the time at home with his children.
He is survived by his beloved children, Elle Katherine Connor of Ocala and Orlando, and James
Joseph Connor III of Belleview; his mother, Marlene (Schettine) Connor of Dunnellon and
Wellsville, NY; two sisters, Karen (David) Ayoub of Manlius, NY, and Kelley (Steve Morasse)
Phillips of Vista, CA; six nieces and one nephew. He is predeceased by his father, James Connor,
Sr.
A memorial service to be held in Wellsville, NY, will be arranged at a later date.
