James Franklin "Frank" Cooper, 72, of Griffin, died Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital.
Born in Atlanta, February 6, 1953, he was a son of the late Charles Alfred Cooper, Jr. and Shirley Jean Howell Cooper. A US Air Force Veteran, Frank formerly worked on Oil Riggs in Texas and Cooper and Son Insurance Company. He attended Southern Crescent Technical College. Frank was serious about his faith. He always had a smile on his face and always made others feel good when they saw him. He treated others with love and respect and enjoyed giving and getting hugs.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Griffin where he was also a member of the Long Sunday School Class.
He is survived by two brothers, Johnny L. Cooper and Charles E. "Ed" Cooper; one niece; four nephews; several great nieces and great nephews; and countless special friends, who were like family, he made through his membership at First Baptist Church of Griffin.
A celebration of Frank Cooper's life will be conducted Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Bramblett Chapel at First Baptist Church with Reverend Steven Norris officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Griffin Endowment Foundation, Inc., PO Box 908, Griffin, GA 30224 in memory of Frank.
